I do most of my boating in the Silver Bay area.

I don’t fully understand your business structure and I assume any help I need while in my area would come from another location. Can you tell me who would be responsible for the North End of Barnegat Bay and where they will be coming from?

I don’t have a Towing contract now because another towing company (trying to be tactful as possible) that is very close to where I spend most of my boating time as a very poor bunch of people running their “franchise”? Many in my area and including me refuse to use them and would welcome another option.

If there is a local Tow-Boat location I would like to know the people and their base of operations before deciding.

TowBoat U.S. Barnegat Light & Beach Haven covers from ICW 38 (Martell's Waters Edge) south to around ICW 167.

The Silver Bay area would be covered by TowBoat U.S. Manasquan.
They keep 1 boat in Toms River (Goose Creek), 2 by the Mantoloking bridge, 3 by the Manasquan Inlet, and 1 in Shark River.

A BoatU.S. membership would cover you nationwide. It covers all boats/jet skis you own plus any boat or jet ski that you are captaining as long as the owner of that vessel is not aboard.

I had a Boat US membership including tow and comp and collision. Never needed a tow but I had some chuckle head f-up my hull while I was parked on the street for spring prep. Boat US sent me a check in less than a week.

I've been a member for three years and just renewed for a fourth. I needed a tow early this season when my anti-siphon valve froze up and left me stranded. Tow BoatUS Manasquan responded and they were fast and courteous.

I'm not insured through BoatU because their premiums were much higher than the quotes I was getting locally.

The other advantage is the gift certificates you get for shopping at west marine being a BoatUS member. It makes me sick when I get one because it makes me realize how much money I've spent there, but at least it's something...

boat u is the same price..They pulled me in a little wile ago.(starter pooped out) I think the difference is BoatU follows you from boat to boat..Towboat only covers your boat. If im buying insurance I prefer It follows me.

Also boatU covers you 75 miles out

Apples to apples it is, and Boat US' quote was almost 50% more than what I pay now for equal coverage. They don't seem to be able to do as well for smaller boats. I know they were the cheapest on my father in law's 32 sea ray.
