A 2002 31 foot Sportcraft. Replaced the tired 6.2lL 320hp Mercruisers with these 6.2L, 383 stroker 350hp Mercruisers with 3 year warranties!

And I have to give a shout out to the owner of Key Harbor Marina, Fred Brueggeman. When I bought the boat from him last fall there was an issue that came up in the survey that he had no problem fixing on his dime and since he had to take out the engines to do it, I was able to put the new engines in with NO labor costs to me whatsoever!! Great marina to be at and a real stand up owner.

Dennis, those look really nice. Agree with you on Key Harbor and Fred and his team. They have been very responsive and helpful as I bought my boat used a year ago and am fixing and replacing the things that to be fixed or replaced. I have original 7.4s in my '97 CC and they will undoubtedly need a rebuild or replace at some point in the not too distant future. Hope my engine room looks like that when I do!

Do you keep the boat at Key Harbor during the season? I will likely need to do that this year due to shoaling in my lagoon (next lagoon north of Key Harbor). Last year, it was difficult to get out at times, especially in Oct and Nov. But this year, looks like I won't be able to keep it at my house which really stinks.

Rich

Rich,
Yes, my boat stays at Key Harbor all of the time. When I bought my first boat (which I had from 2004-2009) I landed at Key Harbor because the Admiral liked it better than some other marinas. It had the pool, the restaurant, etc. Once I was there though I really like the marina and the staff. The location is great, especially when Double Creek channel is open. So, could I dock somewhere cheaper? I'm sure I can, but I'm really comfortable there and that means a lot to me.

Dennis,

Where is your slip? I don't know where I will be docked, probably on H block somewhere. I think I have the only Carolina Classic at Key Harbor and it has a full tower and outriggers so it's pretty easy to find. She's ready to launch and should be wet this week or next.

I see your home port is Hamilton. I'm in Robbinsville, right next door. We have a place on Bayview Drive in Waretown.

Rich,
I'm going into H33 next to my good friend and fellow Barnegat Fishin' Hole member, Bri-Time and fellow Robbinsville neighbor. Let me know where you end up and I'll look you up when I'm down.

My boat was put in last week. I went down to install a new wiper moter and macerator on Sunday and it was in. I'm in H38 at the moment but not sure if that's where I'll end up or not. They still need to do some engine work. Dennis, I think I saw your boat still on blocks right up front. Looks nice. I'll stop by and check it out once you're in. Brian, you're the Hydra Sport next to him?? Looked like the one from your you tube video.

Looking forward to the season (and not getting stuck in my own lagoon this year!)

Rich
