Broke BI this morning and headed south with Dad and my buddy Shawn. We weren't sure where to go so we decided to go find our own fish... glad we did. Made it to a spot about 35 miles out that looked good on the Sat Shots and had clean 77 degree water but no life. Picked up and started running to another spot but saw fish pushing water on top so we threw 2 lines out and swung around. The 18" Sterling Rainbow bar and pink Joe Shute get crushed and we box a 36" and 38" Bluefin. From a zero to hero in about 10 minutes with our two unders! Deploy the spread back out and find them on top again. We cut em off and two ballys and a FishinMission Spreader bar get nailed. Boated all three in about 20 minutes or so, one 35", 38" and a 42". After that, we were all sweaty and nasty so we decided to cut the engines and take a dip offshore in the 80 degree water. Called it a day around 1030am and had a nice 32 knot cruise back to the inlet. Awesome day of fishing. We weren't in any particular spot. We just happened to be at the right place at the right time and run into some transiting fish. Awesome day sure to be remembered!
