The best old false albie recipe from daze of old... Fillet the albie and nail it to a piece of wood and leave in the sun for a week. After weeks end, remove fish, throw it away and eat the wood! Enjoy!

I know I'm late to the party here but when I vacation down in the keys the charter captains won't throw an albie back until we have a few of them at least. Offshore the mate is making them into fresh strip baits for trolling or chunking them up if we're drifting. Inshore they throw them in the box for later for going after sharks on the flats. I can say from personal experience that mahi like albie chunks.
