The fall like weather dropped the water temperature in Barnegat Bay to around 65 degrees. The temperature drop pushed some of the peanut bunker and spearing out of the back-side lagoons and channels into the bay and right in front of schools of hungry weakfish. Today we easily caught limits of weakfish to 21”. At first light the weakfish, mixed with snappers, were actively chasing bait. Once they went down it was been best to drift live peanut bunker or sandworms in areas where I marked fish.

Good luck and see you then! After covering general bay knowledge I go over fluke, blues, weaks and bass. I think if time permits I will start with weakfish tonight. If not it will be covered next week since we still have them in the bay.
