Description
Broke the inlet around 5:45 with Gene, Sal and Rich aboard. Headed north marking bait inshore for the first few miles but decided to continue as planned and starting trolling at the 3 mile line. We set out 2 spoons and 2 mojos and a short time later both mojos start singing and it was game on, Sal and Gene fought the fish and Rich and I cleared the wire lines and gaffed the fish. We all thought it was going to be a banner day but unfortunately that was all we caught for the day.Talked to a few members and heard of a few nice big fish caught we managed the 2 at 33 lbs .Wanted more but was happy to land a few.
Heading out again with Doug at 4pm will post later.
Talked to a few members on our afternoon trip who were working some bunker pods and had a few knockdowns and lost fish at the boat not sure if any were boated. For us we didn't have a touch but enjoyed the anticipation of landing a big one even though it didn't happen.

Nice job rick. Nothing better than putting fish in the boat on a slow day.

When asked where did we catch the fish, it's always in the same place, the lip.....
