Headed out of SHBC at around 6:30 am with my dad and a friend. Tried the 42 and one hit on a plug but couldn't hook it. Went to the flats in Double Creek and saw some birds and got two nice blues to six lbs. Gave that a half hour and decided to head in. On our way in, saw a couple boats at Gulf Point. Stopped with some poppers and WHACK! It was game on. About six to eight lb. blues exploding on top with poppers. It was unbelievable. After about ten fish decided to pack it in. Hot popper colors were silver and most darker colors. It was great to get out for the first time this year.
