fished the cut from 5pm to 745pm and loaded up on shorts. did 1 drift after headin towards the barn and it payed off huge with one beauty.

Billy
I only asked because the above post from his original pic. It said he picked it up on the way back to the barn and I assume it was in the bay.

If this fish came from the bay it would be a little strange but not unheard of this time of year. I am not interested in his general spot. Just interesting if it came from the bay.

gotcha,
& not that it would be wrong to ask the spot, just funny to hear the ansewer( because you never know if they r telling you the real spot).
& as far as the pics location... another fun thing to do.( move then take the pic).
were all fishermen & we all do it.
we want our peers to know were catching, just dont want em to know where.
nice catch!

definitely a bay fluke!!!! my 1974 19.5 ft cc aquasport isnt the best boat to bring outside with a 20mph northeast blow. I forget the can number but it was right where OCC bends hard to the west(right by the islands). I have no problem giving the location because as we all know only 2 days left. the cut has been producing really well but i think its gettin pounded really hard bcuz its been slowing with each passing day and the boats just keep piling up. oh and yes i kept it... i know its not the best eater but it was the only keeper on the day out of 40 or so fish i released and i had a buddy who wanted meat.

All I can say is if your catching them in front of the Tiki Bar I would not "filet and release"....You should "drink and release"...LOL

i know there are "a lot of fish in the sea" but is anyone missing the flatties as much as I am? Catchin a fluke like that one or two days before the season closed is really killing me right now!

The only solace is that 2 weeks of strong NE winds, including todays gale warnings and 17 ft seas means we wouldn't be catching them anyway.
